Nikola Badger

Nikola Badger electric trucks for sale

The Nikola Badger is a popular electric pickup design with up to 600 miles per charge made possible by Nikola’s battery & fuel-cell approach to propulsion. The truck almost achieved production phase but due to a modified agreement between Nikola and General Motors there is no longer a plan for GM to manufacture the Badger. In the scaled down deal GM will only be supplying Nikola with fuel cells. The Badger is still listed on Nikola’s website but you cannot place an order at this time. This situation is a good reminder of the added risks involved with purchasing electric vehicles produced by startups who rely on external manufacturers who are also competitors and do not have a dealership network to support the product post purchase.

Washington Bans Gas Cars by 2030

“Clean Cars 2030” passed as an amendment to E2SHB 1287 a bill that bans gas vehicles 5 years sooner than California.

“With the passage of Clean Cars 2030, the end of the era of gasoline-powered cars is in sight,” said Matthew Metz, co-executive director of Coltura.

Washington already offers sales tax exemptions for new and used plug-in hybrid vehicles as high as $45,000.
